The company's principal owner and chief executive officer Gilvan Miranda began his career in 1998 - as a full-time janitor at a prominent national retailer. His keen eye for detail, coupled with his craving to learn, was immediately recognized. He was promoted to swat team supervisor, training manager, then district manager within two years. Gilvan built a team of exceptional floor care technicians and established a reputation for consistency and quality that was unmatched in the area. He held them to one standard: do it right or not at all. Gilvan leads by example, developing team loyalty through trust and respect.
Our First Company
In 2001, recognizing a need for quality janitorial service, Gilvan started his first company - M&H Cleaning of Hartford CT. His reputation as a premier floor care provider spread quickly as he expanded into supermarkets and other national retail accounts. Controlled growth was the key to our early success. We only took on jobs we were completely prepared for. We were unwilling to compromise quality for growth. Gilvan's basic principles of trust and respect earned us the opportunity to expand into other markets and territories – all the while, developing a strong organization of loyal managers and supervisors.
MQM (Miranda Quality Maintenance) is Born
In 2009, Miranda Quality Maintenance, Inc. was born (commonly known as MQM Cleaning and now MQM Facility Services), in response to ever-expanding facilities maintenance services such as painting, carpentry, minor plumbing, and electrical repairs. In short order, MQM Facility Services acquired a selection of strategic clients throughout New England and upstate New York. Marcos Nodari was then appointed to the essential position of Director of Operations to support the expansion. Marcos, a seasoned veteran of the industry with tremendous team building and customer service skills, is a hands-on leader who has earned the respect of his peers.
MQM’s employees are the strength of the organization. Employee training starts at the top and is ongoing.
